INJIRI
Launched in 2009 by Chinar Farooqui, Injiri believes in the beauty of the hand-weaving processes. Injiri, meaning “real India”, historically stands for “real Madras checkered textiles” which were exported to West Africa back in the 18th century - the label is more about story-telling and the end point is reflective of the journey of many processes. They make clothing for women and textiles for the home and very much focus on textile development and the sustainable usage of materials.
Curating an aesthetic around beautiful and perfect simplicity they work within the limitations of textile techniques. Injiri is placed in some of the most exclusive and beautiful stores all over the World. Exquistre craftmanship, an Injiri piece is designed to cherish for many years.
