Bathing rituals to practice daily

Salt Bathing

Detoxify, rejuvenate and soothe your body from the inside out. Salt bathing  has been around for centuries.  Hippocrates encouraged his fellow healers to make use of salt water to heal various ailments by immersing their patients in sea water. The ancient Greeks continued this, and in 1753 English author and physician Charles Russel published "The Uses of Sea Water".

We love Pursoma's formulations as they are created from pure ingredients sourced from nutrient-rich waters and  primordial earth. The ingredients are Eco-cert, organic, hand-harvested or sustainably farmed from France. Many of Pursoma's products also assist in ridding the body of heavy metals, radioactive materials, and damage from daily stressors.

UNPLUG

Combining French Grey Sea Salt, French Green Clay, Lemon Verbena and the finest essential oils, the Unplug Bath Soak is a revitalising bath that will leave you feeling completely rejuvenated and renewed. Lemon Verbena is known for its abilities to awaken a tired mind and body and reduce stress. The French clay will leave your skin super soft, hydrated and feeling firm. This pure and potent combination will leave you feeling energised, calm and positive.

REVIVE

Pursoma's coffee scrub is a luxurious and thorough body treatment to do at home. Combining caffeic acid, hand harvested French grey sea salt and rice bran dry oil, it will moisturize, rejuvenate and replenish your skin, and boost your circulation. The end result is all of this and the smoothest skin you have ever had.

Scrubs and Dry Brushing

It is believed that routinely dry brushing your skin helps to detoxify your body, boost circulation, improve immunity and reduce fluid retention.

To dry brush, use a natural-bristle brush to gently but firmly brush your skin in long strokes toward your heart, usually going over each area two or three times. At your belly, you brush in a clockwise motion. Dry brushing is typically done before bathing for 3 to 5 minutes, but even a couple of minutes will be beneficial.

Alternatively, buffs away dead skin cells with a body scrub, leaving skin looking and feeling bright, smooth and fresh. We like to mix it up a bit throughout the week!

Moisturising

Moisturising is essential part of the rejuvenating process, moisturising holds the key to plump, hydrated, soft smooth skin. Choose a natural oil to enjoy the aromatherapy benefits and comforting sense of touch when applying, orenjoy a moisture rich cream for long lasting hydration. We tend to go for oil in the evening and cream in the morning, but each to 'her' own!

A note

Taking good care of yourself allows you to be your best self - both for yourself and for others. Schedule self-care time like you would a meeting or a meal, prioritise your personal health and wellbeing. It's precious!
